IRAQ CHILDREN’S PEACE TRAIN

CHILD’S SCREAM

Just think about it

In a country where only Violence, Wars & Terrorism do exist, we are wondering to which extent does the world continue to be the sightseer, trying to understand the  tangible realities for the everyday life of the “Post-War Iraq” where 25 million Iraqis are living.

What about the future of Iraq & of 10 – 15 million Iraqi child & youth, living in a community filled with Soldiers & criminals along with violence & death? Can you imagine yourself all the time scared or worried?

Perhaps you can imagine anything but we don’t think anyone can imagine what children can understand from the things that are happening around them.

Now we should say on the behalf of all the souls of the Iraqi children that have gone; is there anyone who will help our brothers & sisters whom are trying to live peacefully? Is there anyone?  Is there anyone?

“Your children are not your children.
They are the sons and daughters of Life's longing for itself.
They come through you but not from you,
And though they are with you, and yet they belong not to you.
You may give them your love, but not your thoughts,
For they have their own thoughts.
You may house their bodies but not their souls,
For their souls dwell in the house of tomorrow,
which you cannot visit, not even in your dreams.
You may strive to be like them, but seek not to make them like you.
For life goes not backward, nor tarries with yesterday.”

- Kahlil Gibran
