Why Do You Call it Da Fu Mu Dreaming?

Because the World Dreams Peace Bridge was created during a time of political upheaval following the Twin Towers bombing of 9/11, during the early months of the existence of the Peace Bridge discussion group we found ourselves dreaming almost daily for each other and for the world at large.  We were dreaming daily for world peace.

Finally, Kathy Taylor, a Peace Bridge member from Australia asked: “Is there a name for this type of focused, intense peace dreaming we are doing?”  After two or three weeks of intense discussion, we hammered out a name…a name which carried our international peace intention.

“It should be Da-Fu Mu,” wrote Dr. (Baomei) May Tung from San Francisco, formerly from China.  She and advertising executive, Kotaro Mayagi from Tokyo had created the name from a combination of Japanese and Chinese characters. “As ‘da’ meaning big describes the Fu.  Mu (meng in Chinese) means dream.  Fu is the Chinese word for the greatest of good fortune.  To wish someone FU, especially at the Chinese New Year, is to wish them fortune.”

DaFuMu Dreaming is dreaming a dream of great good fortune for all of the world.

Join us in Dreaming for World Peace

Members of the World Dreams Peace Bridge now join together in DaFuMu Dreaming for World Peace on the 15th of each month.

We set the intention to dream of world peace.

We pay attention to these dreams to see if the dreaming self may be giving us help or suggestions for action.

We dream peace and prosperity for ourselves, our neighbors, our friends and the entire world community.
